Early Psychosis Intervention
CMHA EPI Program aims to reduce the duration of untreated psychosis by promoting early identification of psychosis and establishing resources and enhancing Mental Health Services for young people with suspected and first episode psychosis.
Services Offered:
- Comprehensive assessment
- Individualized recovery focused treatment / counselling and goal planning
- Supportive services for family members
- Multidisciplinary team including Psychiatrist, Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, First Nations Liaison, Substance Abuse Specialist, Peer Support Specialist, Family Support and Education Coordinator
- Assistance with needs such as education, employment, housing, drug misuse, and life skills development
- Provide education and assistance to health care professionals, schools, community agencies and the general public
- Symptom and medication monitoring
- Health promotion and teaching with an emphasis on recovery and wellness
- Relapse prevention
Eligibility for EPI Services:
Individuals who are residents in Simcoe County who are 14-35 years of age, currently experiencing symptoms of early psychosis, and have not had treatment for psychosis for more than one year.
Hours: 9am-5pm Mon-Fri
